200911/88512.shtmlDuring NATO’s 1999 air war over Yugoslavia the Atlantic alliance struck hundreds of targets over Serbia and Kosovo. Most were uncontroversial: air-defense sites army headquarters and other military targets. The destruction of one target in particular however set off a wave of anti-Western—and anti-American in particular—protests half a world away. That target was the Chinese embassy in Belgrade.
Against: Strong in many categories, but without quite managing to be a front runner in any. Perhaps Timothee Chalamet's performance is its best chance of awards success.
The following are five simple dietary changes you can implement into your everyday life to improve gut health and the diversity and overall health of your microbiome as supported by scientific literature.
1. Getting enough fibre.
She said: 'Bobbi's like a little Beyonce, a little madam really.'
Sun Yixiao was on his way up last Tuesday evening after school, when the lift suddenly lurched to a stop.
The housing slump has cut demand for iron ore, energy and other commodities. Higher global supplies have exacerbated the gap between supply and demand and pushed raw materials prices lower. This dynamic is not expected to change in the near term despite measures such as the interest rate cut in November.
'Blue Jasmine' belongs, chronologically, to Woody Allen's late period of self-renewal. Artistically, however, it's a comfortable fit with some of the brightest comedies-the brightest/bleakest/wriest comedies-he's ever done. The centerpiece is Cate Blanchett's astonishing performance as Blanche duBois re-imagined to be the half-mad ex-wife of Alec Baldwin's crypto-Bernie Madoff. Not all that far from the center, Sally Hawkins, Andrew Dice Clay, Bobby Cannavale and Louis C.K., among others, maneuver their way through mine fields of deceit and disappointment.

2. Get the balance right!
Our microbiome contains both fibre and protein digesting microbes. Ideally, we want to promote fibre digesting microbes which produce short-chain fatty acids, which play many health promoting roles including feeding gut cells to maintain gut barrier function. Mainstream fad diets which support low carbohydrate, high fat and or high protein-based diets can shift the proportion of the microbiome to be in favour of protein digesting species. In some cases, these species can release pro-inflammatory compounds. Aiming for a high fibre intake combined with moderate intakes of low-fat protein foods, such as recommended by the Australian Dietary Guidelines or the Mediterranean diet, is the best way to ensure a balance of fibre and protein digesting microbes.

3. Limiting saturated fats.
Bilophila wadsworthia is a normal part of the gut microbiome, however it can become problematic at high levels. Elevated amounts of this bacterial species have been observed in individuals with intestinal inflammation, colon cancer and diets high in animal (saturated) fat3. Reducing intake of foods high in saturated fat may help decrease levels of this bacteria. The Nutrient Reference Values for Australia and New Zealand recommend saturated fat should provide less than 10% of your total energy intake, which on average is less than 24g/day for the average Australian adult. Foods which are high in saturated fats include full fat dairy products, processed meats, certain oils like palm oil or coconut oil, and treat foods like pastries, biscuits and chocolates.
4. Limiting artificial sweeteners.
Artificial sweeteners are commonly found in low sugar or ‘diet foods’, such as diet soft drink, low energy desserts and weight loss products. Originally developed as a sugar substitute to help manage diabetes and obesity, research in humans is now suggesting the effects of artificial sweeteners may be contributing to metabolic syndrome and the obesity epidemic. It appears that artificial sweeteners could alter the human gut microbiome, resulting in a negative impact on glucose metabolism in the body. This is associated with increased calorie intake and consequently results in increased weight gain4.
5. Including fermented foods into the diet.
Guangzhou and Shenzhen, benefiting from balanced development, took first and second place respectively in the rankings. Hangzhou ranked third, owing to its technological advantages. Wuhan, which had achieved a good balance between development and costs, was in fourth place, followed by Nanjing with its quality culture and lifestyle.
5. "Dexter" (3.1 million)
This groundbreaking fight is loosely based on a bout between Chuck Wepner and Muhammad Ali, in which the "everyman" Wepner managed to become one of the four men to knock Ali down in his career. Just like in the film, Wepner pushed Ali through 15 rounds despite looking (and feeling) like he'd been hit by a truck. While both he and Rocky ended up losing their fights on a technicality, Wepner wins in our book for inspiring such an awesome character.
'In the next 12 to 24 months, unless any of these bottlenecks are solved, we could see WTI going down to $50 a barrel, to incentivize producers to slow down,' she said

So the messaging apps have gotten creative. Tango, for example, inserts ads within a user’s messaging “inbox.” WeChat, a popular Chinese app that is owned by Tencent, makes money through games, stickers (which are similar to emojis), and mobile commerce. Kik offers a feature that some are calling “chatvertising,” where users hold conversations with chat-bots powered by brands like Funny or Die and Moviefone.
Perhaps just as important, stable or falling prices will boost the inflation-adjusted pay of U.S. workers and gives them more bang for their buck. "It's an unambiguous positive for household demand," said Neil Dutta, head of economics at Renaissance Macro Research. "People will have more money to spend."
Talk show host and comedian Ellen DeGeneres will host the Oscars ceremony for a second time.
China must walk a narrow line at a time when its outgoing leadership is reluctant to take any far-sighted decisions.
To provide assistance to these laid-off workers will continue to be our priority in cutting overcapacity and pursuing the supply-side structural reform.
